Background Information | CD195 (CCR5, CKR-5) is a receptor for inflammatory CC-chemokines (characterized by a pair of adjacent cysteine residues), such as MIP-1 α, MIP-1 β, or RANTES. It is a G protein-associated seven-pass transmembrane protein expressed on resting T cells with memory/effector phenotype, monocytes, macrophages and immature dendritic cells. This chemokine receptor regulates the activation and directed migration of leukocytes. Importantly, along with CD4, CD195 functions as a major receptor for HIV. Their ligand is the viral glycoprotein gp120. |
Usage | The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells. Recommended usage is 10·µl reagent·/ 100·µl of whole blood or 10^6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (1 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests. |
Storage Buffer | The reagent is provided in stabilizing phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution, pH ≈7.4, containing 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA. |
Storage | Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Store in the dark at 2-8°C. Do not freeze. |
Stability | Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label. |
