| Background Information | CD255 (TWEAK; TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis), a type II transmembrane protein expressed as membrane-bound and secreted form, can induce apoptosis in many tissues and cell lines through its receptor CD266 (TWEAK R). On the other hand, in endothelial cells this interaction can induce proliferation and promote angiogenesis including neovascularization of tumors. CD255 can act in a juxtacrine manner to initiate cellular responses, and induces secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Besides CD266, CD255 may also bind to DR3. |
| Usage | The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells. Recommended usage is 10·µl reagent·/ 100·µl of whole blood or 10^6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (1 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests. |
| Storage Buffer | The reagent is provided in stabilizing phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution, pH ≈7.4, containing 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA. |
| Storage | Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Store in the dark at 2-8°C. Do not freeze. |
