Background Information | CD264 (TRAIL-R4, TR4, DcR2, TRUNDD), expressed mainly on CD8+ and NK cells, belongs to receptors of TRAIL, a TNF-like membrane toxic protein that induces apoptosis in many tumor cells, but not in normal cells. TRAIL-R4, however, contains partially truncated death domain, thus it is unable to induce apoptosis and serves as a negative regulator of apoptotic signaling by impairment death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) processing. TRAIL-R4 interacts with death receptor 5 (DR5) in the native DISC in a TRAIL-dependent manner and prevents its corecruitment with death receptor 4 (DR4). |
Usage | The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis. Suggested working usage is 3·µg/ml. Indicated dilution is recommended starting point for use of this product, but working concentrations should be validated by the investigator. |
Storage Buffer | The reagent is provided in stabilizing phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution, pH ≈7.4, containing 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide. |
Storage | Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Store in the dark at 2-8°C. Do not freeze. |
Stability | Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label. |
